Change Your Thoughts and You Change Your World
- Norman Vincent Peale

Problems rarely house themselves neatly in a particular compartment of our lives. The shadow cast by a problem can be very long and affect several different areas. A health issue, for example, can have consequences on work, finances and relationships. The good news is the benefits of resolving a problem also ripple out in positive, enhancing ways.
People can get so used to living with a problem that they no longer feel the full degree of the limitations it places upon them. This usually happens when an issue has developed over time. A bit like the ‘Frog Experiment’, a frog placed in a container of water under which heat is slowly increased, didn’t jump out even when the water became very hot.
Try this little visualization:
Imagine it’s now twenty years in the future and you're reflecting and looking back on your life. As you do so, which of your accomplishments are you most proud of? What do you wish you had done more of? What do you most regret not having done?
